What is Yoga?

This job falls under the broader career category of Aerobics Instructors and Fitness Trainers. Realizing the holistic benefits of Yoga, more and more private companies, schools, hospitals, fitness centers, etc. are hiring yoga instructors. Also, the Government aims at creating numerous vacancies for Yoga trainers in the coming years.
Yoga not only relaxes an individual but also keeps the human body fit. Apart from physical fitness, yoga is also beneficial for reducing respiratory disorders, hypertension, and helps in the management of diseases like diabetes, depression, stress, etc.
Being a yoga teacher gives one the benefit of taking his/her career wherever he/she travels. However, having said that, being a Yoga teacher is not easy. One needs to be patient and dedicated, have perseverance, and need a lot of practice.

Eligibility Criteria for Yoga Courses
Candidates seeking admissions to Yoga courses have to fulfill the eligibility criteria as under:
- Aspirants willing to pursue a course in Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Yoga or Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Yoga must have cleared 10+2 and must have secured a minimum of 50% CGPA
- Aspirants willing to pursue a course in Masters of Arts (MA) in Yoga or Masters of Science (MSc) in Yoga must have pursued a course in BA/ BSc in Yoga Therapy
Yoga Skillset
A good yoga instructor can help transform one’s life. Needless to mention, proper knowledge of asanas and understanding of breathing pattern is a must for a yoga instructor. However, only these qualities do not make one a great yoga teacher. Individuals willing to pursue a career as a yoga instructor need to possess the following skillset:
